Full Description
At 95-100m altitude, WSW-ENE aspect, an intermittent length of denuded earth and stone banking has been terminated on its WSW end by a shallow quarry. The bank runs ENE for approximately 100m before ending on the edge of a terrace. It is paralleled by a similar bank on its south side for a short distance. Origin and purpose unknown, but a small 5-sided enclosure is shown on the OS 2nd edition 6" and 25" maps.
Info from D Ross, 1991, Forestry Survey.
