Full Description

A stone axehead was found some 30 years ago (from 1995) by Mr A Ferguson of Auchmartin Farm. It was found at the base of the raised beach. Various flint implements have also been found over the years and mostly lost. The axehead remains in the possession of the finder.

NH 6955 6695 A stone axehead was found here some 30 years ago at the base of the raised beach. It remains in the possession of the finder, Mr A Ferguson. Various other flint tools have been found on the farm over the years. These are mostly now dispersed.
