The steam drifter WINCHESTER ran aground on rocks to the west of Cape Wrath. It slipped off and sank in deep water.

Hydrographic Office, 1995.
Built by Dundee Ship Building Co, engine by A Shanks & Son, Abroath. One report puts her north of Eilean a Connaidh, while another suggests she went ashore half a mile north west of Loch Alsh.
