Surveying Details
-----------------------------
15 October 1980. Wreckage, consisting of 3 box-shaped sections and modern stockless anchor on rocks nearby, was observed to dry and reveal 2 metres on 27 August 1980 at the NW corner of Fladda-Chuain. The ship was clearly of a welded construction and kelp growth suggests it was wrecked over 10 years ago. Local fisherman thought it to have been a Dutch coaster carrying building materials.
Report by J O Hall, 3 October 1980.
23 September 1983. There is a suggestion that this may be the OFELA, a Swedish coaster, lost in the 1960's.
Report by W E Butland, 25 August 1983.
Hydrographic Office, 1995.
UNKNOWN, wreckage is buried in a thick layer of kelp, in 1m depth.
Source; Ridley 1985.
