Full Description
A sheepfold, a possible building and a stretch of dyke, situated to the east of the Allt Coire na h-Eiridh, were recorded during a survey of the West Affric estate by J Wordsworth for the National Trust for Scotland. It measures 8m in diameter with a 0.75m thick wall standing up to 1.3m in height and capped by turf supporting blaeberry, atypical in this area-perhaps introduced by bird droppings?). The wall width is 0.75m at the base and 0.5m at the top. It is well built and similar in style to those at sites 13 & 18, though it has now partially fallen (?been knocked) down. <1>
NGR adjusted based on 1999-2001 vertical aerial photographs. <2>
