Full Description
A survey of the archaeological and historic features was undertaken within Abernethy Forest Reserve for the RSPB in 1995.
The existing farmhouse at Rynettin is a two-storey stone-built structure with a lipped roof at the south end. There is a wooden porch lean-to at the front, in the middle of the building and a stone lean-to extension at the north end, where the gable has not been lipped. Coursing of large irregular sandstone and granite blocks. Signs of renovation around windows. There is one entrance only, at the front. This building was not shown on the 1863 OS map, and apparently post-dates it. <1>
