Full Description

Rectangular, stone-walled ruins, overlooking Allt dais Nan Caorach. Probably the remains of a pre-clearance dwelling and "outhouse". Shown on the 1858 map as a single, roofed building. The main building is about 10.5m long and 5.5m wide. It has a single entrance, about 0.9m wide, in the south facing walls. The walls are about 0.6m wide and up to 0.7m high. This building is in better condition than the "outhouse" and seems to have been better made. The second building is about 8m long and 5m wide. Its walls are about 0.6 to 0.7m wide, and up to 0.6m high. It appears to have had 2 entrances in the north facing wall. one about lm wide, and the other about 0.6m wide. This building appears to have been built on to the end of the main building, using the first building's gable end, and is of rougher construction. Both buildings are partly overgrown with heather and grass. <1>
