Full Description
What may be a farmstead comprising one unroofed building and two enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1874, sheet lx). An incomplete enclosure is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1972).
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 29 July 1996
A square enclosure was noted at this location on aerial photographs taken in 1990 during the desk-based stage of a survey by the Highland Council Archaeology Unit in 1995 for the RSPB Abernethy Reserve. <1>
The features shown on the OS 1st Edition map are clearly visible in later vertical aerial photographs. <2> <3>
