REFERENCE - Scottish Record Office
Plans - 19th Century, RHP 9090.
Built by Thomas Telford in 1815-20. Replaced an earlier bridge (see MHG36789 for the possible location of the earlier structure). This was also badly damaged by a flood in 1829. <1>
