Full Description

Dated 1862. George McKay, Engineer. High single span tooled rubble bridge crossing Lower Foyers gorge. Tooled ashlar segmental arch ring, pulvinated string course and parapet cope. Parapet fitted with modern safety fence. Datestone with crest in centre of north face above arch. Approximate span; 70'. Inscription "Clarior e Tenebris". <1>
