Full Description

(Location cited as NH 801 480). Cantray Mill, 18th or early 19th century. A rectangular two-storey building, harled, with a kiln at one end. There were formerly two low-breast wheels in parallel; one has been removed, the other is an eight-spoke wood and iron shrouded paddlewheel, 4ft 5ins (1.35m) wide by 15ft (4.57m) diameter. The interior appears to be gutted and the water works are now used in connection with a fish farm.
J R Hume 1977.
