Full Description
Cropmark of a square barrow to the north of Poyntzfield seen in 1991 RCHAMS oblique aerial photography.
The site is included in a broad discussion of Pictish cemeteries in Inverness-shire, Moray and Aberdeenshire. At Poyntzfield on the Black Isle, a barrow cemetery of perhaps six barrows is evident, including round and square examples, running in a linear arrangement along a low terrace.<1>
