Full Description
A ruined former early C20 power house at Rosehaugh.
Late 19th century asymmetrical L-plan single storey with Tudor arched openings, some transomed. Each block has pyramid
roof. That at one block rising from within parapet and surmounted by louvred vent. Moulded string courses. Bull-faced rubble with rusticated or polished dressings. Some white tiling inside. <1>
A photographic survey was undertaken of the building as required by a planning application, in 2007, prior to restoration and conversion. <2>
Although the listing description states late C19 this building is not shown on either the 1st or 2nd edition OS maps.
