Full Description

Cairns are remembered as having existed in this area by only one local person. At ND 3808 7318 there is a stony patch which is left unploughed.
Info from R Stephan-Murray to OS, 11 September 1981.

No evidence was found for cairns at ND 3809 7324. At ND 3809 7314 there is a turf-covered rectangular building footing measuring about 15 by 5m, which is possibly stony patch mentioned above.
Visited by OS (J B) 7 May 1982.
