Full Description
An unroofed building, which may have been a shieling-hut, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1878, sheet xiii). The building is not shown on the current OS 1:10,000 map (1988).

Lying on flat ground covered in part by heather, grass and rushes on either side of the Allt Dubh Mor, the remains of several shieling-huts and a house are indicated by a change in vegetation.
Feature 5: A sub-rectangular shieling-hut, grass covered, with heather over the walls on three sides and with rushes on the east bank, has a smaller cell at the east end. Lying on an E-W axis, it measures 6.5m by 2.0m with the main element 4.4m long. The walls have occasional stones showing. There is a possible entrance on the north side. <1>
