Full Description
A circular, stone-walled hut 8m between the centres of a peat-covered wall in which several inner facing-stones are visible in W arc. The simple entrance is in W. About 3.5m outside the wall in E is a curving scarp which could be a drainage hood but is more likely to be the wall of an earlier hut, 12m diameter, into which the small hut has been inserted, utilising the original entrance as at ND34SW 53.
About 10m to W is another hut, visible as a heavily peat-covered platform measuring 9.5m in diameter with an ill-defined entrance in the S. There is no trace of contemporary cultivation.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (I S S) 11 April 1972.
