close by an old stream bed, 3 small, turf-covered mounds, some 2.0m, 1.5m, and 1.0m high respectively, contain large quantities of burnt stones - undoubtedly burnt mounds. Surveyed at 1:2500.

Burnt mounds A and B, at ND 2057 3500 and ND 2058 3501 respectively, are kidney-shaped, measuring 20m NE-SW by 10m transversely. The other example, C, at ND 2059 3500, measures 11m E-W by 5m transversely. Visited by OS (R L) 13 March 1968.
