'Mill leat': No details given.
J Wordsworth 1991. <1>
Substantial mill leat recorded during observation along the route of the nairn to Inverness gas pipeline. Recorded as a substantial stone-lined mill leat running NE towards Kerrowaird Farm. Constructed of drystone blocks capped with substantial slab. Base cobbled. Internally 0.45m wide x 0.45m high. <2>
It is not at all clear from <2>, despite the supplied grid reference, where this feature actually was as the location is a ploughed field. There are slight indications of a linear feature as a mark in grass c.4.5m in width in 1999-2001 vertical aerial photography near the grid reference but at that size it is far larger than the dimensions given but then 0.45m in width can hardly be considered 'substantial'. <3>
