Quarrymen's cottages, Spittal, ND 167 544, mid 19th century. A block of 4 two-roomed cottages, with 2 four-roomed cottages adjacent. The larger type predominates in the quarry village. <1>
The cottages don't appear on OS mapping until the 2nd edition.
