Full Description

Longhouse. Dimensions: 23.6 x 3.5m. Rectangular structure defined by grass and heather covered banks 0.5m high, divided into three compartments and with a small kiln in the NW corner. It is associated with an enclosure measuring 35 x 17m, subdivided into two areas. Orientation E-W.

A farmstead comprising an unroofed long building and an enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1876, sheet xi). A subdivided enclosure is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1970).
