What may be four unroofed shieling-huts are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877-8, sheet xxxvii). Three unroofed structures, which may be shieling-huts are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1963).

The burn appears to have subsequently shifted its course at this point and the northern two huts, as shown on the OS 1st Edition map, may no longer exist. <1>
