Longhouse farm (ND 1885 5578), Paddockfield, comprising;
A: Longhouse. Dimensions: 37 x 4.9m. Rectangular structure comprising four units, the two central units containing fireplaces. The NE end unit contains byre slots. The SW two units are later additions. Orientation NE-SW.
B: Longhouse. Dimensions: 15.5 x 5.25m. Bipartite rectangular structure built at right angles to and 8m SE of A. Orientation NW-SE.

A farmstead comprising four roofed buildings, one of which is a long building, and one unroofed, long building is depicted on the 1st edition of the 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xviii). One partially roofed and two unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1971).
