Full Description

A C18-C19 farm steading located at Station Farm, Halkirk. The building appears on the 2nd edition OS Map, and so dates to, at latest, 1906.
A photographic survey was undertaken due to the conditions on a planning application by Mr Evetts and Ms Stuart in 2006. <1>

Longhouse farmstead, comprising;
A: House. Dimensions: 12 x 5m. Roughly plastered structure with a slab roof. Two modern annexes are attached to either end, 4 x 2m on NW end, 5 x 3m on SE end. Orientation NW-SE.
B: Barn. Dimensions: 22 x 4.5m. Barn lies to N of house, with graded slab roof. Horse walk attached to N wall. Shed built at right angles to W end, measuring 10 x 4m. Orientation E-W.
C: Yard. Dimensions: 15 x 14m. Rhomboidal yard in front of A, defined by a flag fence and containing some trees and shrubs.
