ARCHITECT: Alexander Ross (I.C. Aug 10, 1878) additions & alterations
This castle is mentioned in an article about Lord Cranstoun, a former owner of Glencassley and possibly the person who commissioned the building of the castle. <1> Lord Cranstoun exchanged his estate lands at Rosehall with James Matheson in 1844. <2>
Note that according to the Dictionary of Scottish Architects, the work by Alexander Ross is referenced in the Inverness Courier on 10 August 1876. <3>
