Full Description
Early traditional West Highland cottage, of piend-roofed type, originally thatched, now with piended corrugated iron roof.
The building was listed at Category B in 1994.
A lone earlier survival - former thatched cottage. Its thickset walls are squatter and boulder-footed, with a fireplace in the central partition wall that divided domestic quarters from byre. This plan, with chimney rising through roof ridge rather than gable ends, is characteristic of the area. <1>
