GR corrected to above from 1st ed OS - HAW 11/2003
The Spa Hotel was situated where Kinellan Drive is now. The Hotel was burnt down during the Second World War, when it was in use as a hospital, and it was never rebuilt.
Lots of cream pots, etc were said to have been found when digging foundations for the new houses of Kinellan Drive on the site of the Spa Hotel.
