POLICY - The Council will continue to encourage and where possible, support a further programme of works to harbours, piers and jetties in the area.
Proposals include further sea defences, environmental improvements including seating and provision of visitor facitities.

GR corrected. Pier not on 1st ed OS, built across "Buoy Stones". "wick" element of placename would seem to indicate that this is a place of some antiquity the ame being a Norse element for landing place. - HAW 10/2002
