Full Description
NH 509 454 Cropmark of hut circle with entrance to E, c 9m in diameter. Roughly 100m N of similar site recorded by RCAHMS in 1978 catalogue of APs. <1>
NOTE: Judging by the date of the photographs of the location of the first ring ditch (see MHG3341), the reporting of the finding of the second by JS Bone in <1> must be in error in that this second ring ditch lies to the south, not to the north.
Both ring ditches were seen in the results of a geophysical survey undertaken by Aberdeen University in 2017 (details awaited). <2>
