ND25NW 16 2160 5897.
ND 216 590. Possible henge, Nipster.
Visible on RCAHMS air photograph CA 680-1: flown 1977.
At ND 2160 5897, on slight rise in ploughed field, are faint traces of a depression measuring c40m NE-SW by 30m transversely; some 15m outwith E arc is a roughly concentric counterscarp up to 0.8m high but reduced and spread by ploughing, suggesting a bank or rim of a mound. However, there is no surface evidence to specify a class of structure, if any.
Visited by OS (J M) 3 March 1982.
