A farmstead, comprising two unroofed buildings, one enclosure and a field-system is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1875, sheet xviii), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1975).
Information from RCAHMS (AKK) 17 May 1996.

The Inverness Field Club, led by Donald Coghill, surveyed a number of sites in the Aird area between 1987 and 1989. Boblainy Forest (NH 43/53 OS 477366).
There is a minor but bulky earthwork consisting of a right-angled corner situated at the S.W. of what may have been an enclosure. Its silted up ditch is at the outside and more clearly defined for a short distance on the lower south side. <1>

Note: Site not visible on aerial photographs so approximate dimensions of farmstead and associated encosures copied from 1st Edition OS 6". <2> (T. Blackie 11/8/23)
