Full Description
Bilbster Station, opened in 1874 on the Sutherland and Caithness Railway.
The station opened on 28 July 1874.
The Scotsman. 27 July 1874
The station buildings were destroyed by fire on 16 September 1877.

It was one of a number of smaller stations on the Far North Line which were closed in 1960. <1>
Railway station and cottages (ND 2868 5421). Still in occupation.

Two roofed buildings are marked as 'Station (disused)' on the current edition of the OS 1:10,000 map (1994).
