Full Description
The original Calder Bridge was designed by Thomas Telford for the Commissioners for Highland Roads and Bridges as part of the new road from Kingussie to Fort William which opened in 1818.
The bridge had been listed at Category A.
The bridge was seriously damaged by flooding in 1978 and was demolished. A replacement bridge was constructed just to the southeast. <1>
Three photographs of the replacement bridge constructed were submitted by Wolfgang Krueger in July 2011. <2>
