Full Description
NC 86SE 896 644
Location refined from that above to present location. 'Pillars' first anotated on 2nd edition 6" OS map c.1908-9. The use of the plural would suggest that there was once a pair, but now only one remains. Presumably the pillars marked the gateway to Bighouse Farm. The pillar is cylindrical with a conical top; constructed of mortar-bonded rubble. <1>
