21 March 1986. The site was examined on 30 June 1985 at 58 24 12N, 002 42 11W. Trisponder ranges: Toftcarl 23363 metres, Muckle Skerry 34400 metres; Noss Head 21882 metres. Decca = [n scot] red c 16.46, green b 41.50, purple h 66.71. The least echosounder depth was 65 in a general depth of 68 metres. A scour 1 metre deep was observed. The side scan sonar indicted a height of 2.9 metres, length of 35 metres (114 feet), and beam of 7 metres (22 feet). The vessel is intact lying with its keel on an orientation of 105/285 degrees.
