Full Description
A former settlement or township to the south of the River Einig. The site is shown as a cluster of six buildings with cultivated fields to the north and south on the Roy Military Survey maps labelled 'Lettyr'. A second cluster of five builidngs with associated cultivated fields lies to the south beyond a small burn. It is unnamed by Roy but may also have been associated (see MHG64864). <1>
A township comprising two unroofed buildings, three enclosures and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire and Cromartyshire 1881, sheet xvi). One roofed and two unroofed buildings and an enclosure are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1992).
