A farmstead comprising one unroofed, two roofed buildings, one of which is set around a courtyard, and an enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Island of Skye 1880, sheet vi). Three unroofed, three roofed buildings, and an enclosure are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1968).
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 30 September 1996
The Museum of the Isles contains a hoard of 50 coins, the orininal label for which reads 'Ancient coins found in a turf wall on the farm of Scuddaburgh, Isle of Skye, delivered by Donald McInnes ro Mr Ballingal 22nd October, 1852'. It is likely to referring to this farm. <1>
