This bridge was built to carry the West Highland Rly across the River Nevis on its approach to Fort William Station (NN17SW 16). It is supported by cylindrical cast-iron piers and is the longest single-span bridge on the line.

This bridge spans the River Nevis at a point where it forms the boundary between the parishes of Kilmonivaig and Kilmallie.
