Full Description

A hut circle, 8m in diameter, survives in the modern forestry plantation between Kinbeachie and Toberchurn at an altitude of c. 65mOD. It is turf covered, with no visible stonework or entrance showing, but is still clearly defined. The precise location is uncertain and dimensions of feature are obscured by heavy tree growth. Another possible hut circle is sited at c.NH 623 625 but this is less certainly circular in shape. There may be additional hut circles and possible clearance cairns are suggested to SE of main hut circle.
Ownership - Forest Enterprise.

cNH 623 627 A hut circle has been found within this mature plantation by Mr Fraser. It is heavily overgrown and its exact position is uncertain. There are the remains of possible clearance cairns in the vicinity. At cNH 623 625 there is another possible hut circle, heavily disturbed. <1>
