Fifteenth century jug, INVMG - 1993.006

A complete 15th century jug was found by a diver in 1992 on the bed of Lochindorb close to the small island on which stands the ruins of Comyn Castle. The jug measures 42.5cm in height, was wheel made and has green and grey lead glaze. The potters thumb marks are visible at the top and bottom of the handle. It was submitted to Treasure Trove (TT 452) and allocated to Inverness Museum. It is listed under Acc. No. 1993.006. A record form is available within the museum's archive files. <1> <2>
