Full Description

A copper alloy hinged C-shaped ? Purse fitting with embossed decoration and attached fragment of twine. Found near ruined croft at Inverlael on the north side of Loch Broom, by metal detecting 1994-6.

Later identified as an 18th Century child's bronze sporran mount. Allocated by Treasure Trove (TT 27/96) to Inverness Museum and Art Gallery. Acc. No. 1997.500. <1>
