Full Description
There is a hut circle located at this spot, identified by Roy Wentworth. This is a relatively well preserved example, and lies at the foot of the Aird na Ban fhaide, on a terrace above the burn. The site was visited by DML with A Passmore, in advance of H-E works in the area, which involved the relocation of some poles. Agreement was reached upon the best method of inserting a new pole, and causing least damage to the hut-circle.
Possible associated field wall (short stretch) running directly up the hillside, ca. 50m to WNW.
Hut-circle modified to sub. Rectangular building.
("King's Seat" area of Miss A. Passmore) Mor righ.
