Mission Chapel, Acharynie. This chapel is shown on Thomson's Map of Caithness 1822. Beaton p212 says "John Munro came to Caithness in 1806 to take charge of the Achrenie Mission." Near Acharynie is a small rectangular graveyard completely walled round, the only access is by a stile. Foundations to the east of the graveyard are probably the remains of the chapel and dwelling house mentioned in OSA are being built by subscription." George watson 1991
