Full Description

An oval depression, which is annotated as an 'Old Quarry' on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1907, sheet xvii) was noted by J Wordsworth during a pre-afforestation survey. It is probably no more than the source of material for the adjacent stone dyke or for road metalling. <1>
