ND03SE 24 088 335.
A post medieval settlement is situated on S side of Dunbeath Water, 1000m WSW of Achnaclyth. The foundations of two buildings are visible. One (at ND 0885 3357) is a longhouse about 30m E-W by 4.5m in size, subdivided into three rooms. There is a small annexe on its N wall. The turf and reed covered foundations survive to about 0.3m in height. The smaller building (at ND 0881 3357) measures about 7m by 4m and is defined by foundations which are in a similar state of preservation.

A farmstead comprising two unroofed buildings, one of which is a long building, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxxviii). Two unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1962).
