A crofting township, comprising forty-one roofed buildings of which one is school, one an inn, one a manse and another a church, three partially roofed and fourteen unroofed buildings is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Isle of Skye 1878, sheet iii). Thirty-one roofed buildings, one partially roofed building and sixteen unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1966).
