'A large sheep farm steading.... It is also used as a shooting lodge.'
Name Book 1872.
A farmstead, comprising five roofed buildings, one partially roofed and one unroofed buildings and five enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1872, sheet cxv). Five roofed buildings and seven enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1971).
