A crofting township, a township and a field-system are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Isle of Skye 1881, sheet xxix). The crofting township comprises thirty-one roofed, two partially roofed and six unroofed buildings. The township comprises one roofed, eight unroofed buildings, a sheepfold, a field-system (NG 440 393) and a head-dyke.
Seventeen roofed, five partially roofed and twenty unroofed buildings and their associated enclosures and field walls are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1968).

The ruins of three of the township buildings depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition were photographed as a requirement of planning permission for a new house. One is to be demolished, the other two to the south will be retained. The middle of the three ruins survives only as an earthwork. <2>
