NN16SE 34 1918 6418
A possible charcoal burning platform (NMRS MS 738/31, no.1) was located during a pre-afforestation survey by AOC (Scotland Ltd). The platform is situated on a SW-facing slope and measures 5.5m in diameter. There is a drystone revetment on the downslope edge which stands to a height of 1m whilst on the upslope the platform is levelled into the hillside to a depth of 0.5m. Traces of stone revetment also survive on the N side.
