Full Description
A group of three pits (NMRS MS 738/31, no.3), on a N-facing slope, was recorded during a pre-afforestation survey by AOC (Scotland Ltd). The pits are irregular in shape and measure up to 10m by 6m and are up to 2.5m deep. They are interpreted as mining strikes or possibly shell holes.
