Full Description
A possible searchlight stance (NMRS MS 738/31, no.17), lying below the modern road, was recorded during a pre-afforestation survey by AOC (Scotland Ltd). The site comprises a circular depression measuring 2m in diameter and cut to a depth of 0.3m, on the top of a low knoll. It is possibly a military hard standing for a mobile searchlight or gun.
